Correct Speech delivered by the President at 2017 Carol – Do they know it’s really time for another Yuletide?

DO THEY KNOW IT’S REALLY TIME FOR ANOTHER YULETIDE?

I have the honour, the grace of God and privilege to welcome you all to this special event in the history of our Organisation: Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative.

While conceptualizing this event; our minds flashed straight to the fact of some people who during the coming Christmas and the New Year Celebrations, they wouldn’t know it’s really time for another Yuletide.

Why? It’s because they are there lying critically injured on hospital beds as a result of involvement in Road Crashes.

What can we do as an Organisation and as individuals to lift the spirit of these victims of Road Traffic Crashes at this period of the year?

Unfortunately, there is wide-spread cry of recession permeating the land!

Notwithstanding, people must continue to move from one place to the other in their daily struggle to heck a living. Goods must also be transported.

While not seeing recession as a solution to crashes on our roads, we must as stakeholders take a critical look on how to stem the spate of road crashes in this clime and urgently do something to ameliorate the pains of those lying injured on hospital bed.
